Philip Matthews

Biography:

Philip Matthews brings over 20 years of experience in sales and relationship management, including more than 15 years in the banking industry. He has a strong track record of managing and growing large client portfolios while building lasting relationships across competitive markets. Philip began his career as a teller at Wells Fargo, where he discovered his passion for banking and business development. He went on to play key roles with community-focused institutions including Middleburg Bank and Access National Bank, contributing to strategic growth initiatives and market expansion. He was also instrumental in helping bring Virginia National Bank to the Richmond market. In addition to his banking experience, Philip spent time in HVAC sales, further strengthening his ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored, results-driven solutions. He has also been actively involved in his community, serving four years on the Junior Board for the Massey Cancer Center.
